For anyone battling infertility and the emotional roller coaster that comes along with it, this book is for you. This is the only book I have ever read that I could say while reading it, "Yes, yes, that's exactly me, or that's exactly how I feel." It doesn't offer ridiculous pat answers; it offers real information in a humorous way that leaves you in stitches. I have since passed this book on to a friend; I'm not someone that recommends lots of books. In fact, I don't even BUY that many, it has to be really good. I read a few pages at the bookstore and knew I HAD to have it and came to Amazon to place my order b/c it's much cheaper than getting it at the bookstore. I hope this helps you and GOOD LUCK!!
This book is a great read for someone just starting their infertility journey. It's very informative for both men and women, but since it was written by two women and from their perspective (mostly-there are parts written by their husbands), it will better suit women. It gives you a lot of information about different procedures, but also offers emotional consolation.
This was a great book! I found it very helpful not only for medical terms but emotional support too.
Book was humorous which can make things easier when you are going through fertility.
Such a poorly written, misinformed book. I got to page 10 and simply couldn't bear to read anymore despite having paid for it which made it even worse. The tone, the language, the insensitivity, the "humour" made me cringe.
EXCELLENT book for anyone facing these struggles/challenges. I've even given this book as a gift several times!
This book was helpful. It totally described moments of panic ans gave hope for the future. At times it was scary to see what could be down the road but the information is needed.
Out of all the fertility books I have read - which is ALL of them. This is a true girlfriends perspective in real terms. It explains each procedure, drug or obstacle you maybe faced with and explains it in REAL terms. Example: This "X" procedure may hurt, this "B" procedure will leave you tired -- or this certain procedure wasnt as big of a deal as they made it out to be. They make it clear they are not replacing your Doctor but these girls have been there --- its a great book for any age wanna be Mom's that maybe their husband isnt as talkative and compassionate as they may want them to be. I cannot say enough great things about this -- Its been a long time since I picked up a book and didnt put it down until I was done with it.I have bought it for every girlfriend of mine that is trying and could have a possible fertility problem
